Short version: we run a reading site. We do not ask you to create an account, we do not sell data, and the only information we handle is what a normal web visit and a basic analytics tool produce.
Who we are
This policy covers the website at makeaipixelart.com. If you have a question about anything below, or you want to make a request about your data, email [email protected] and we will respond.
Information we collect
We do not have logins, member areas, comment sections, or newsletter signups, so there is no account information to collect. The information that does reach us falls into three groups:
- Standard server and log data. Like any website, ours receives your IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring page, and the time of the request. This is a normal part of serving a page and is used for security and to keep the site running.
- Analytics data. Aggregated, non-identifying information about which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and roughly where in the world they are.
- Anything you send us. If you email us, we have your message and your email address. We use them to reply and for nothing else.
We do not knowingly collect information from children, and the site is not directed at them.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. We use them sparingly:
- Preference storage. When you dismiss the cookie notice at the bottom of the page, we store a small flag in your browser so the notice stays dismissed. That flag never leaves your device.
- Analytics cookies. If analytics is enabled on this site, the provider may set a cookie to tell repeat visits apart from new ones.
- Affiliate tracking cookies. If you follow an affiliate link out to a tool, that company may set a cookie so it can credit the referral to us.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so will not stop you reading anything here.
Analytics
We use a third-party analytics service to understand which guides people find useful and where the site is confusing. Analytics tells us things like “this page was read a lot and people left quickly” — it does not tell us who you are, and we make no attempt to identify individual visitors. Analytics providers process this data under their own privacy policies and may store it outside your country.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links to tools are affiliate links. If you follow one, the destination site may record that you arrived from here so any resulting signup can be credited to us. We do not receive your personal details from that process — only aggregate reporting about referrals. Once you leave our site, the destination’s own privacy policy applies to what happens next.
Third parties and external links
Besides analytics and affiliate networks, this site may rely on a hosting provider and a content delivery network in order to be delivered to you. We link to external sites throughout our guides. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your data, and we would encourage you to read their policies before giving them anything.
How long we keep things
Server logs are kept only as long as they are useful for security and troubleshooting. Analytics data is retained under the analytics provider’s retention settings. Email correspondence is kept for as long as it takes to resolve the conversation and any reasonable follow-up.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to certain processing. Because we hold so little, most requests are quick to handle. Email [email protected] and describe what you need. You can also opt out of most analytics tracking with your browser’s do-not-track or tracking-protection settings, or with a content blocker.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles data — adding or removing a service, for example — we will update this page to match. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
